Monumento a Wellington
Wellington Monument stands in Phoenix Park as a 62-metre granite obelisk honouring Arthur Wellesley, Duke of Wellington, and his military victories. It remains Europe's tallest obelisk and ranks among Dublin's most visited attractions. The monument offers visitors a striking landmark set within the expansive parkland, making it a worthwhile stop when exploring the city's historical sites.

Papal Cross
The Papal Cross is an imposing white Latin cross, 35 metres tall, constructed from steel beams and standing in the Fifteen Acres area of Phoenix Park. It was erected for the open-air Mass celebrated by Pope John Paul II on 29 September 1979, when the Pontiff delivered a sermon to the largest gathering of people in Irish history. What to see: this striking monument remains a significant landmark commemorating that historic papal visit to Dublin.

People's Gardens
People's Gardens, formerly the Promenade Grounds, is a walled Victorian garden spanning 9 hectares at the eastern edge of Phoenix Park, between the Parkgate Street and North Circular Road entrances. This carefully maintained space features immaculate Victorian planting schemes, an ornamental lake with waterfowl, picnic areas, and a children's playground. It's a pleasant spot to visit within Dublin's largest park, offering a quieter atmosphere away from the busier sections.

Fuerte Magazine
Magazine Fort is a star-shaped bastion fort and powder magazine built in 1735 on the southeastern edge of Phoenix Park, atop St Thomas' Hill. Designed by military engineer John Corneille, it replaced the original Phoenix Lodge on the site. The fort served as an active military installation for over 250 years, occupied successively by British Armed Forces and the Irish Defence Forces, before transfer to the Office of Public Works in 1988. Currently undergoing phased restoration, the fort offers limited guided tours for visitors interested in Dublin's 18th-century military heritage.

Deerfield Residence
Deerfield Residence, formerly Chief Secretary's Lodge, serves as the official residence of the United States Ambassador to Ireland. Set within Phoenix Park on 62 acres of private grounds featuring gardens, orchards and lawns, it faces Áras an Uachtaráin, the Irish President's official residence. Built between 1774 and 1776 in Georgian style, the house was renamed Deerfield in the 1970s by an ambassador's wife, a reference to the fallow deer that roam freely throughout the park.

Furry Glen
Furry Glen is a picturesque area within Phoenix Park, Dublin's expansive green space. At its heart lies Glen Pond, a small lake set amidst natural woodland. The glen offers a peaceful retreat from the city, with winding paths through mature trees and open spaces ideal for walking or picnicking. What to see includes the pond itself and the surrounding wooded landscape. It's a popular spot for both visitors and locals seeking a quiet break in nature.
