About this place
The Ha'penny Bridge is Dublin's original pedestrian iron footbridge, spanning the River Liffey since 1816. Named after the halfpenny toll once charged to cross it, this cast-iron structure links Temple Bar with the city's north side. Its elegant arches and distinctive design make it one of Dublin's most recognisable landmarks, offering particularly striking views as dusk falls. Well worth a visit for photography and to appreciate a piece of Georgian Dublin heritage.
