Permanent Collection (Twentieth-Century Dublin)
The Little Museum of Dublin's permanent collection occupies the first floor and traces the city's history throughout the 20th century using over 5,000 objects donated directly by Dublin's residents. This floor forms the narrative heart of the museum, where all guided tours begin and end. Visitors will find personal artefacts, photographs and memorabilia that bring Dublin's modern story to life, from the early 1900s through the century's close.

The Editor's Room
The Editor's Room recreates the newsroom of The Irish Times during the editorship of Robert 'Bertie' Smyllie, one of the paper's most celebrated editors, between 1934 and 1954. Curated by Irish Times journalist Peter Murtagh, the exhibition captures what he describes as an 'extraordinary' period in the newspaper's history. Located on the second floor of the museum, this exhibition offers a window into mid-20th-century Irish journalism and the creative environment that shaped one of Ireland's most influential publications.

Stained Glass Panel of Saint Brendan (attributed to Harry Clarke)
A 20th-century stained glass panel attributed to renowned Irish craftsman Harry Clarke, depicting Saint Brendan (as suggested by the imagery) standing with three kneeling monks in a boat upon water. Measuring 76.5 x 57 cm, this piece is crafted from glass, metal and wood. It's part of the permanent collection at the Little Museum of Dublin, where you can visit to see this fine example of Clarke's distinctive stained glass work.
