Ubicada en el corazón de Sevilla, la Iglesia Colegial del Divino Salvador destaca como el segundo templo más importante de la ciudad tras la Catedral. Su imponente fachada barroca de ladrillo rojizo da paso a un interior de proporciones monumentales y retablos dorados de exquisita factura. Al visitarla, te sorprenderá la luz que inunda sus naves, resaltando joyas artísticas de Martínez Montañés y Juan de Mesa. Su construcción sobre los restos de la mezquita mayor, añade una capa histórica fascinante que aún se percibe en su patio. Es una parada obligatoria para admirar la riqueza del Barroco sevillano en un ambiente de gran serenidad.
Absolutamente apabullante. Que joya más grande y bien conservada. No tengo palabras para describir tanta belleza. La entrada es de pago salvo domingos y se puede adquirir conjuntamente con las de la Catedral y Giralda. No dejen de visitar el patio anexo que tiene una pequeña iglesia bellísima además de admirar ese magnífico patio con restos romanos y árabes ya que allí se encuentra el minarete de una de las primeras mezquitas que se construyeron en Sevilla y que hoy día está cristianizada con su correspondiente campanario. Visita absolutamente obligatoria.
Es una de las iglesias que más me gustan de Sevilla. De gran valor artístico, atesora una gran historia que la restauración de hace unos años ha permitido enseñar. La iglesia cristiana se construyó sobre la antigua mezquita aljama de la ciudad y algún rastro de ellos sigue visible. El patio de las abluciones o el alminar convertido en campanario. El Salvador es un lugar importante tanto desde el punto de vista artístico como devocional.
