Arch with Clock
The Arco con Orologio is an archway linking two separate medieval buildings that together form the Palazzo dell'Orologio in Pisa. Spanning the public street below, it unifies the structure and creates the palace's distinctive appearance. Topped with a clock and a bell tower, the arch forms the visual and symbolic centrepiece of the palace's façade overlooking Piazza dei Cavalieri.

Vault with Frescoes by Marucelli and Palladini
The barrel vault of the archway connecting the two sections of Palazzo dell'Orologio displays frescoes painted between 1607 and 1609 by Giovanni Stefano Marucelli and Filippo Palladini. The intrados features military trophies, grotesque motifs and allegorical figures designed to celebrate both the power of the Medici and the Order of the Knights of Saint Stephen. What to see here, though, demands patience—centuries of wear have considerably faded the decoration, making the details challenging to discern today.
