Es uno de los templos más bonitos que visitamos. Compramos las entradas al llegar, sin hacer fila. Este templo es imponente desde el exterior, y el Buda de su interior es increíble, vale la pena contemplarlo varios minutos. Dentro del templo encontramos una máquina donde compramos unas monedas alegóricas al templo, las cuales personalizamos para regalar. No vimos en ningún otro sitio este tipo de souvenir.
El Templo Tōdai-ji es uno de los lugares más impresionantes de Nara y una visita imprescindible. Su arquitectura es majestuosa y el interior alberga el Gran Buda, una de las estatuas más espectaculares que se pueden ver en Japón. La experiencia merece la pena al completo, por lo que es recomendable comprar la entrada y recorrer su interior con calma. El ambiente transmite historia y espiritualidad, rodeado de un entorno natural muy agradable. Un monumento único que deja huella y que no puede faltar en cualquier visita a la ciudad.
Uno de los templos que más impresionan, primero por la gran puerta, luego sus grandes jardines hasta llegar al inmenso Buda. Detrás del Buda hay un pilar con un hueco que tiene el mismo tamaño que los orificios nasales del Buda, según la tradición al pasar por él nos ayuda en la siguiente vida. Además del Buda y el pilar, hay otras esculturas talladas en madera muy interesantes y una maqueta de el tempo y los alrededores.
