Definitivamente, este es uno de los Templos en Nara que no se pueden perder. Perfectamente conservado, fuera de la ruta turística principal y de relevancia histórica, Yakushi-ji tiene todo para dedicarle al menos un par de horas. Todo el complejo es impresionante así que vale la pena animarse a visitarlo (el autobús 75 termina ahí su ruta).
Lindo lugar, alejado del centro de Nara. El costo de la entrada es una estafa, 1100 yens la visita estándar y una de las pagodas está tapada porque está en reparación.
Si vais a Nara y tenéis la oportunidad de visitar este sitio, hacedlo sin dudarlo. Templo hermoso, algo alejado del centro de Nara, pero que merece muchísimo la pena, con una pagoda que data del siglo 7

East Pagoda (Toto)
The only surviving original structure from the 8th century, regarded as one of Japan's finest pagodas. Standing at 33.6 metres tall, its three-storey design creates the striking visual illusion of six storeys.

West Pagoda (Saito)
A reconstructed pagoda that forms part of the temple's distinctive symmetrical design, complementing the architectural layout alongside the East Pagoda.

Kondo (Main Hall)
The central building of the complex, housing the celebrated Yakushi Triad, including the principal seventh-century statue of Yakushi Nyorai.

Yakushi Triad
A bronze sculptural group from the 7th-8th century comprising Yakushi Nyorai (the Buddha of Medicine), Nikko Bosatsu, and Gakko Bosatsu, designated as a National Treasure.

Kodo (Lecture Hall)
A traditional building within the complex used for Buddhist teachings and ceremonies of the Hosso sect.

Meditation Hall (Toindo)
A dedicated space for meditative practice within the temple complex.

Bussokudo (Hall of Buddha's Footprints)
A building housing relics associated with the footprints of Buddha, part of the traditional temple complex.

Genjo-sanzoin Garan
A modern temple complex dedicated to the monk Genjo-sanzo, founder of the Hosso school.
