Fantástico museo en honor a un escultor de talla mundial. El más representativo imaginero del siglo XVIII español y uno de los más grandes del Barroco. Salzillo se dedicó en exclusiva a la temática religiosa y supo transmitir a su estilo los cambios que se fueron produciendo durante el siglo XVIII, lo que se vio plasmado en una escultura de transición hacia el rococó y el neoclasicismo, así como en diversos cambios que se fueron produciendo en el taller que heredó de su padre, el también escultor e imaginero Nicolás Salzillo. Su vida transcurrió enteramente en Murcia. Hoy día cuenta con un museo dedicado a su obra, el Museo Salzillo, que alberga algunas de sus obras más características, como el belén o los ocho pasos que procesionan el Viernes Santo en la llamada procesión de los Salzillos.
Mi visita al Museo Salzillo en Murcia fue un viaje íntimo y conmovedor al universo de uno de los genios del barroco español. Más que un museo al uso, el lugar se siente como un santuario dedicado a la delicadeza y la expresividad que este escultor murciano supo infundir en la madera. La experiencia comienza en un patio tranquilo, pero es al acceder a las salas principales cuando uno se queda sin aliento. Ver reunidas todas las figuras del famoso Belén de Salzillo es una alegría para los ojos. El nivel de detalle es asombroso: desde los pliegues de los ropajes hasta las expresiones de cada personaje, todo está tallado con una sensibilidad y una maestría que te trasladan a las calles de la Palestina del siglo XVIII. Sin embargo, el momento de mayor impacto emocional fue la sala que alberga los pasos de la Cofradía de Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno. Ver de cerca la sublime dolorosa de "La Dolorosa" o el realismo sobrecogedor de "La Última Cena" es una experiencia que te estremece, independientemente de tu fe. La capacidad de Salzillo para capturar la humanidad en sus tallas es simplemente única. Salí del museo con una profunda admiración por el arte que trasciende lo religioso para convertirse en pura emoción. Es una visita obligada para entender el alma de Murcia y la genialidad de un artista que elevó la imaginería a su máxima expresión.
Recomiendo visitar este museo. Las esculturas son muy realistas. Belén de Nápoles nos muestra cómo vivía la gente hace 300 años.
