Romanesque Bell Tower
The campanile of the Santuario di Nostra Signora di Soviore stands as a robust Romanesque tower facing the church, one of the most distinctive architectural features of the complex. Positioned prominently before the main entrance, this bell tower commands your attention upon approach to the sanctuary in Monterosso al Mare, a striking example of medieval Italian stonework.

Monastery with Ogival Arches
The foresteria at the Santuario di Nostra Signora di Soviore in Monterosso al Mare has provided shelter for pilgrims and visitors for centuries. Its oldest section features original ogival arches, the building's most distinctive architectural element. Constructed in stages, it underwent significant expansion during the 18th century and again in 1909. The structure received a thorough restoration in 2000 for the Jubilee. What to see here includes these fine medieval architectural details alongside its role as a working guest house serving the sanctuary today.

Agati Organ (1834)
The Agati organ is a pipe instrument built in 1834 by the Pistoia-based Agati workshop, replacing an earlier instrument attributed to Friar Bonaventura of Brussels. It features a striking wooden case in neoclassical style and ranks among the sanctuary's most significant heritage pieces. Worth seeing if you visit the area.

Frescoes of the Barrel Vault
The frescoed barrel vault forms the sanctuary's principal interior decoration, with a series of Marian scenes arranged across the temple's central space. Among the documented works you'll find The Discovery of the Virgin's Image and a Pietà. These carefully preserved paintings showcase religious artistry from the period and remain central to the church's artistic heritage in Monterosso al Mare.

Monumental Holm Oaks (Centenarian Oak Trees)
In the courtyard facing the sanctuary's forestry building, a line of hundred-year-old holm oaks frames the space towards the valley side, creating one of the most distinctive natural features of the site. These specimens are officially designated as monumental trees within Cinque Terre National Park, adding to what you'll see during your visit to this remarkable location.
