Sin lugar a dudas, uno de los primeros puntos a visitar en la larga lista que tenemos en la ciudad de Marsella, La Cathédrale Sainte-Marie-Majeure de Marseille es una edificación, en si, nueva, pues lo que vemos hoy es del siglo XIX, pero, si nos vamos a su pasado, desde el siglo V han estado en este lugar edificaciones religiosas, así es que sus cimientos vienen desde esa época, es una edificación impresionante, al llegar y verla sorprende su tamaño y su aspecto, avocando edificaciones bizantinas, que al parecer es una arquitectura románico-bizantino, y si su exterior te impresiona, ya veras cuando entres a ella, esta repleta de mosaicos, mármol y murales que te dejaran con la baba colgando de tu boca abierta.
Vista impresionante de toda la bahía y puerto de Marsella. Se puede acceder x ascensor. Estilo Romano Bizantino alberga pequeños barcos contamos del techo. Buena visita
Preciosa catedral, tanto por dentro como por fuera, la entrada es gratuita, solo te pide entrar en silencio, con respeto y ropa adecuada. Por dentro se encuentra la virgen de Guadalupe de México y al menos en esta ocasión que acudí hay mucha decoración preciosa de vidrio. Por fuera hay una pequeña plaza que da al mar lo que la hace ver aún más bonita.
