Central Chamber
Roughly 3m long and 1.4m wide, with walls nearly 2.4m high originally topped by a corbelled roof, the central chamber opens into three corbelled side cells to the north, east and south, each around 1.9m long and 2m high.

Corbelled Side Chambers
Three secondary chambers lead off the main rectangular chamber of Wideford Hill Cairn. Each is roofed using corbelling, a Neolithic technique in which stones are progressively offset inward to close the space without lintels.

Entrance Passage
The original entrance passage is low, narrow and slightly curved, covering roughly a third of the total distance to the inner chamber. Visitors now enter through a sliding hatch in the roof and descend by ladder.
