Marwick's Hole (Dungeon)
The only known dungeon in a British cathedral, tucked between the south choir wall and the south transept chapel, in use from the 16th to 18th century.

Tower and Spire
St Magnus Cathedral's copper-clad spire dominates Kirkwall's skyline. Guided tower tours reveal the clock mechanism, bells, and sweeping views from the top.

West Window (Queen Elizabeth II, 1987)
A stunning stained-glass window by Scottish artist Crear McCartney, installed in 1987. On sunny afternoons it floods the nave with brilliant bursts of colour.

HMS Royal Oak Memorial Bell
A poignant memorial to the 833 men lost when HMS Royal Oak was torpedoed in Scapa Bay on 14 October 1939. The ship's bell hangs above a book of remembrance.

Organ (Henry Willis, 1925)
A fine 1925 Henry Willis and Sons organ, housed behind a decorative screen. It remains central to the cathedral's musical life, from Sunday services to festivals.
