Por dentro es una iglesia muy bella. Se ubica cercana a Plaza Plaka, en un parque; ideal para visitar después de tu entrada a la Acrópolis, incluida su zona arqueológica y museo. Es recomendable prestar atención a las imágenes de la Anunciación, el episodio evangélico en el que la Virgen María recibe el mensaje del Arcángel Gabriel: será la madre del hijo de Dios.

Imponente y muy bonita, con una fachada impresionante y un interior lleno de detalles. Es la catedral metropolitana de Atenas y sede del arzobispo, así que tiene un gran valor religioso e histórico. Por dentro es muy luminosa y está decorada con iconos preciosos. Merece la pena entrar y dedicarle un rato, sobre todo si te interesa la arquitectura o la historia religiosa de Grecia.
