About this place
One of Turkey's most significant museums, established in 1922. It houses 13-14 galleries featuring archaeological collections spanning from prehistoric times through the Byzantine period, including sculptures from Perge, Aspendos and Side, sarcophagi, coins and gold artefacts. The museum received a special award from the Council of Europe in 1988.
