El Hundertwasserhaus es un edificio curioso y colorido diseñado por el artista Friedensreich Hundertwasser, famoso por sus formas irregulares, azulejos de colores y terrazas llenas de vegetación. Su aspecto rompe completamente con la arquitectura clásica de Viena y se ha convertido en uno de los lugares más fotografiados de la ciudad. Sin embargo, aunque resulta original y diferente, puede considerarse una visita prescindible si se dispone de poco tiempo, ya que solo puede verse desde fuera y su atractivo principal es puramente visual.
Curiosísima construcción en Viena este edificio realizado con materiales reciclados y sin ningún orden aparente, donde se mezclan colores, formas y materiales dando lugar a uns construcción única e irrepetible en el mundo. Se encuentra algo alejado del casco histórico, pero para los amantes de la arquitectura y de los lugares curiosos merece la pena.
Friedensreich Hundertwasser (1928-2000) fue un artista y arquitecto austriaco multifacético, ecologista y activista, famoso por su rechazo a las líneas rectas en favor de espirales, formas orgánicas y colores vibrantes, buscando una armonía entre el ser humano y la naturaleza en sus obras y diseños arquitectónicos, como la colorida Hundertwasserhaus de Viena, que incorporaban vegetación y suelos ondulados
