Espectacular. Conocía la iglesia que también es preciosa pero no había visitado el claustro, más que recomendable, necesario. Lugar para perderse en el tallado de sus arcos, con una iconografía de bestiario medieval fabulosa. La audioguía para el móvil, muy correcta y te orienta muy bien para seguir el edificio de una manera solvente. Se trata de un edifico que iba a servir como lugar de enterramiento a los Reyes Católicos y son continuas las menciones a los mismos. No quiero hacer ningún “spoiler” para dejar ciertos efectos sorpresa durante la visita

Hermoso monasterio, con un diseño muy particular y cadenas colgadas a lo largo de su fachada. No entramos pero pasamos alrededor y nos pareció increíble además de que se puede ver desde diferentes puntos de Toledo.

El Monasterio de Dan Juan de los Reyes es un espacio arquitectónico exquisito, espiritual y místico, donde han acontecido Grandes hechos históricos que han dejado huella en Toledo. El claustro con sus artesonados y arcos esculpidos son sublimes, abiertos entorno a un pozo central y unos jardines silvestres llenos de vida. No es que estén especialmente cuidados, son más salvajes pero dan una vida única al claustro. El claustro superior está centrado en una reproducción del artesonado múdejar del techo de madera y unos leones de mármol que conforman unas arcadas. Vistas preciosas. La basílica es muy sobria aunque la presencia de unas águilas sosteniendo las heráldicas de los Reyes Carolicos confiere al lugar una imponencia regio.
