Una iglesia muy bonita y pequeña. Faltaba información para saber más su historia. Recomiendo que te saques las pulseras de Toledo (14€), para que veas 7 monumentos emblemáticos, incluyendo este.
Toledo es una especie de "lasaña" donde cada capa es un reflejo de las diferentes culturas que han habitado la ciudad. El Salvador es una buena prueba de ello. En esta pequeña iglesia encontrarás una superposición de elementos romanos, visigodos, islámicos, góticos, renacentistas y barrocos. Está en el centro histórico e incluída en la pulsera turística.
Una iglesia de pequeño formato y con muchas historia que, en su tiempo , allá por el 1040 fue una Mezquita árabe. En su interior , bajo tierra , hay restos visigodos e incluso Romanos .
