Panel 2 – Main Southern Shelter

Panel 1 is one of two sizeable rock shelters that make up the Solana del Molinico site at Socovos. The shelter displays Miocene rock art predominantly rendered in red ochre in varying shades. What to see here includes numerous figures executed on the natural rock surface, showcasing the artistic techniques of the ancient inhabitants who used these shelters.
Panel 3 – Discovered Ledge
Panel 3 stands apart from the other two painted areas at Solana del Molinico: it's the only one not sheltered beneath a substantial rock overhang, but rather exposed on a narrow ledge with minimal coverage. This exposed position sets it apart physically from the rest of the site, making it distinctly vulnerable to the elements.
