Dongdaemun History and Culture Park
Dongdaemun History and Culture Park sprawls across 65,232 square metres on the eastern side of the DDP, serving as a cultural hub for Seoul's historical heritage. Excavations from the former stadium site have yielded over 1,000 artefacts now on display, spanning from the Joseon dynasty to the 20th century. The park connects a green corridor from Naksan to Namsan, incorporating remnants of Seoul's fortress walls alongside contemporary museum facilities. What to see here is a layered narrative of the city's past, thoughtfully integrated into a modern public space.
