Ssamziegil Shopping Centre
Ssamziegil is a distinctive four-storey shopping centre that opened on 18 December 2004 in central Insadong. Spanning approximately 4,000 m², it houses over 70 shops selling crafts, art galleries, restaurants and souvenir stores. A spiral ramp winds through the building, leading to the rooftop terrace, Haneulmadang, which offers an open sky view. The complex is illuminated with changing colours at night, and features numerous photo-worthy corners decorated with murals and specially designed display zones. Worth a visit if you're exploring the neighbourhood's cultural attractions.

Unhyeongung Palace
Unhyeongung, official historic site no. 257 in Seoul, was the private residence of Heungseon Daewongun, regent and father of King Gojong, the 26th monarch of the Joseon dynasty. Unlike Gyeongbokgung, it served as a royal family home rather than a seat of government, though it eventually acquired palace status. The original designation reflects its residential character. What to see here includes the well-preserved quarters that offer insight into royal domestic life. The site is open to the public free of charge.

Tongmungwan
Tongmungwan is South Korea's oldest continuously operating bookshop, established in 1934 and specialising in rare and antiquarian books. Located at 55-1 Insadong-gil in Seoul, this family-run business has passed through three generations and maintains a collection of between 60,000 and 70,000 volumes, of which approximately 30,000 are on public display. A must-visit for serious book collectors and those interested in Korean literary heritage.
