Gyeongnidan-gil
Gyeongnidan-gil (officially Hoenamu-gil) stretches for 937 metres through Itaewon-dong, from the main gate of the Military Unit Economic Administration to the Grand Hyatt hotel. Despite its Itaewon location, the street has its own distinct character—a bohemian maze of rooftop cafés, independent boutiques, small international restaurants, bistros and artisanal bakeries. Most visitors access it via exit 2 of Noksapyeong metro station, heading towards Namsan Tunnel 3. It's worth a visit for its eclectic blend of independent shops and casual dining away from the main tourist crowds.
Homo Hill
Homo Hill, known locally as 'The Hill' or 'LGBTQ Street', is Seoul's gay quarter, situated in a 110-metre alleyway within the Itaewon district. Home to between 10 and 15 LGBTQ+ venues including bars and clubs, it functions as a safe space where visitors can express themselves openly, despite homosexuality remaining a sensitive subject in South Korea. The street's official name is Usadan-ro 12-gil. What to see here ranges from casual drinking spots to dedicated nightlife venues catering to the community.
