Nuestra visita en Octubre 2025 la basílica estaba en obras, sin embargo hay personal y una de ellas nos vendió la medalla de la basílica. Sin problema pudimos ver la magnífica obra de Miguel Ángel: el sepulcro del Papa Julio II con el imponente Moisés en el centro. Nosotros pagamos €1 por escuchar el órgano y fue una bonita melodía, y pensamos que era rápido pero duró aproximadamente 3 min.

La basílica de San Pietro in Vincoli es una iglesia de estilo barroco en cuyo interior se encuentra la tumba de Julio II y la Urna con las cadenas De San Pedro. Las cadenas de San Pedro se componen de dos piezas soldadas; las de la prisión romana constan de veintitrés eslabones que terminan en un collar; las de Jerusalén son once eslabones más pequeños. La tumba del Papa Julio II, que en principio era un proyecto mayor, es obra del Gran Miguel Angel Buonarotti. La figura central es El Moisés, una de sus más famosas obras. Se puede visitar de forma gratuita. No se puede decir que has estado en Roma y no haber visto esta obra!!!

Ver el Moises de Miguel Angel en persona fue una experiencia increíble y toda una sorpresa, ya que fue una parada improvisada y no sabia que allí hubiese una escultura de tal calibre. Es por esto que Roma es la ciudad eterna, con rincones llenos de historia, arte y magia
