  Sala di Ruggero sits within the Torre Joharia and showcases a rectangular chamber with a ribbed vault adorned by an extraordinary mosaic cycle set against gold-leaf tesserae.

  The Torre Pisana, also called Torre Santa Ninfa, is the oldest section of the Palazzo dei Normanni and one of only two surviving Norman towers from the original structure.

  The Sala dei Venti is one of the most striking rooms within Palazzo dei Normanni, housed in the Torre Joharia—an Arabic name meaning 'jewelled tower'—and opening directly into the Sala di Ruggero.

  Torre Joharia, also known as the Tower of the Treasure, stands within the Palazzo dei Normanni and dates to 1132, when it was built by Roger II of Sicily.

  The Sala dei Viceré (Hall of the Viceroys) takes its name from the 21 portraits lining its walls, depicting viceroys, lieutenant governors and presidents of the Bourbon Kingdom of Sicily.
