Ruins of St Clement Church
The ruins of St Clement's Church represent what remains of one of Oslo's medieval Roman Catholic parish churches, located between the former Klemetsallmenningen and Østre strede, south of Oslo Kongsgård. Constructed around 1100, this stone church featured an unusual double-nave layout with an east-west orientation—one of just a handful of known examples of this architectural type in Norway. What to see includes the foundation and structural remains that reveal the church's distinctive medieval design.

Ruins of Santa Maria Church
The ruins of Santa María Church are all that remains of medieval Oslo's royal chapel, a stone structure built in stages with final extensions completed in the 14th century. Now situated within Middelalderparken, these ruins offer a tangible link to one of medieval Norway's most significant religious and political institutions. What to see here provides genuine insight into Oslo's medieval heritage and the architectural ambitions of its former rulers.
