National Theatre (Nationaltheatret)
Oslo's National Theatre, opened in 1899 and designed by architect Henrik Bull, stands as Norway's premier theatrical venue. The building features four distinct performance spaces and is immediately recognisable by the statues of Henrik Ibsen and Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson flanking its main entrance. The names of these two writers, along with Ludvig Holberg, are inscribed across the façade. Tickets are available for a variety of productions throughout the year.

Equestrian Statue of Charles III John by Brynjulf Bergslien
This bronze equestrian statue of Charles III John stands in Slottsplassen, directly facing the Royal Palace, with its gaze directed down Karl Johans gate. Sculpted by Norwegian artist Brynjulf Bergslien, it was unveiled on 7 September 1875, marking the 57th anniversary of the king's coronation at Nidaros Cathedral in 1818. A notable piece of Oslo's public monuments to visit.

Centrumskiosken Kiosk (Narvesen, 1914)
Centrumskiosken is Oslo's oldest kiosk, standing directly opposite the Karl Johan Hotel on Karl Johans gate. Commonly known as the Narvesen kiosk, this 1914 structure is now a protected landmark that catches the eye of regular commuters and urban history enthusiasts alike. It remains an iconic fixture of the city's streetscape and a tangible reminder of early 20th-century Oslo.
