DnB NOR Building
The DnB NOR complex is the headquarters of Norway's largest financial services group. Three separate buildings, each designed by a different studio—MVRDV, Dark Arkitekter and a-lab—are connected by a shared underground street spanning 3,000 m². This shared space houses meeting rooms, dining facilities and other communal services. The entire complex covers 80,000 m² and consolidates over twenty DNB offices that were previously scattered across Oslo into the Bjørvika district.
Deloitte Building 'The Glacier' (Snøhetta)
The Deloitte Building, designed by Snøhetta and officially opened on 9 January 2014, sits west of Oslo Central Station in Bjørvika. Its distinctive sculptural form, inspired by a calving glacier, sets it apart from the other structures in the Barcode development. The building's striking silhouette makes it instantly recognisable within the contemporary waterfront district.
KLP Building (Solheim & Jacobsen)
The KLP Building, designed by Solheim & Jacobsen, was the first mixed-use residential and office structure in Oslo's Barcode development, and opened its doors to residents in May 2010. Visually, it comprises two distinct volumes connected by a glazed gallery, employing contrasting materials and architectural languages to reduce the overall scale and establish a dialogue with the natural fjord landscape surrounding it.
Visma Building – Pixel Facade (Dark Arkitekter)
The Visma Building is one of eleven structures comprising the Barcode Project in Bjørvika, Oslo, designed by DARK Arkitekter. Its defining feature is the distinctive 'pixel façade'—an innovative exterior treatment that deliberately obscures the building's floor count from the street. This striking architectural element has become an iconic part of the neighbourhood's contemporary skyline, combining functional design with visual intrigue.
