Standing on Ronda de Garay in Murcia, opposite the Palace of Justice, this monument honours Juan de la Cierva, the Murcian aeronautical engineer who invented the autogyro. Created by sculptor Francisco Toledo and inaugurated in July 1973, it commemorates one of aviation's most influential figures worldwide.
