St Michael's Church (Michaelskirche)
The largest Renaissance church north of the Alps, built 1583–1597. Its vast barrel vault is second only to St Peter's in Rome. A royal Wittelsbach crypt lies beneath.

Old Academy (Wilhelminum)
A grand 16th-century Renaissance complex on Neuhauser Straße, originally built as a Jesuit college. Its four courtyards have housed Bavaria's leading intellectual institutions.

Richard Strauss Fountain
A six-metre bronze column on Neuhauser Straße pedestrian zone. Water cascades from a flat disc at its crown, forming curtain-like patterns that evoke flowing veils.
Bürgersaalkirche
A distinctive Baroque church at Neuhauser Straße 14, arranged over two floors. Its exterior façade is painted in warm terracotta and ochre tones.

Brunnenbuberl Fountain (Satyrherme mit Knabe)
A charming bronze fountain near Karlstor by Mathias Gasteiger. A boy playfully blocks a pipe with his thumb, provoking a satyr to spray him with water.
