Philharmonie (Main Hall)
The principal concert hall of the Gasteig and home to the Munich Philharmonic. Seats around 2,400, with warm timber cladding that enhances the acclaimed acoustics.
Carl-Orff-Saal
A versatile Gasteig hall seating 550–600, noted for its modern feel and excellent acoustics. Hosts concerts, conferences, readings and a wide range of cultural events.
Kleiner Saal
The smallest of the Gasteig's halls, with 200 seats in its original form. The temporary Gasteig HP8 version, opened in 2022, seats over 100 or holds 120 standing.
Munich Public Library (Gasteig Branch)
The main branch of Munich's public library, based at the Gasteig since 1985. Holds around two million items and runs film screenings, exhibitions and language workshops.
