Watchtower (Ruins)

The Torre di Avvistamento is an ancient defensive watchtower whose remains lie beneath the freestanding bell tower of the Church of San Lorenzo in Piazza Papa Innocenzo IV. The original structure has been largely absorbed by the religious building erected above it, leaving only fragmentary evidence of what was once Manarola's surveillance system. Visitors can observe the church bell tower, which now stands on the site of this medieval fortification, offering a tangible link to the village's defensive past.
