JAPON 2025 KYOYO KITANO TANMAN-GÛ Es uno de los santuarios sintoistas más grandes de Japón. Se construyó a mediados del X siglo. Su origen es muy interesante porque su fin es el de apaciguar el espíritu de Sugawara no Michizane, un político y poeta que fue exiliado por la Corte Imperial del periodo Heian. Luego de la muerte del poeta vino la maldición, el emperador enfermó y debió abdicar y varios de sus hijos murieron, cayeron rayos que and destruyeron el palacio y varios cortes años murieron , cayeron plagas y sequías, luego inundaciones y muertes civiles. La Corte decidió construir un santuario para apaciguar su alma, luego además destruir los registros de su exilio y deificarlo con el nombre de Tenjin o kami del saber. Hoy los estudiantes japoneses buscan su ayuda para aprobar los exámenes. El santuario actual fue construido en el siglo XVI, tiene una atmósfera inquietante qué se apacigua en la noche cuando prenden sus miles de linternas.
Uno de los templos mas increíbles de Kioto. Recomiendo su visita al atardecer y así poder disfrutar de la puesta del sol y observar como luce las linternas iluminadas. Pudimos participar en la ceremonia de Purificación paseando por el rio con las velas encendidas.
Hasta ahora uno de los santuarios más bonitos y tranquilo que vi en Kyoto, poca gente, muy prolijo y lindo. Es un buen recorrido y tienen rociadores para refrescarse del calor.
