Daeseongjeon (Pabellón del Gran Santo)
Daeseongjeon, the principal hall of Jeonju Hyanggyo, serves as a shrine dedicated to Confucius and other venerated scholars. Within its walls are housed spirit tablets honouring 7 Chinese Confucian scholars and 18 Korean scholars, making it the ritual and spiritual centre of the complex. This hall remains the focal point for ceremonies and reverence at the site.

Myeongryun Hall
Myeongryundang is the lecture hall within Jeonju Hyanggyo, located at the rear of the complex. It serves as the educational hub of the site, where traditional ceremonies and classes on Confucian etiquette are occasionally held. Visitors can observe how these important cultural and philosophical teachings were conveyed within the school's historic setting.

Hongsalmun (Puerta de las flechas rojas)
Hongsalmun, known as the Red Arrow Gate, stands as a symbolic and spiritual gateway at the entrance to the sacred pathway leading to Jeonju Hyanggyo on Jeonjucheondong-ro. Unlike defensive fortifications, this distinctive reddish structure serves as a threshold marking the boundary between the ordinary world and the sacred precinct beyond. A meaningful landmark for visitors exploring Jeonju's religious and cultural heritage.

Ilwolmun Gate
Il-Wolmun, meaning 'Gate of the Sun and Moon', serves as the principal entrance to the walled Jeonju Hyanggyo complex. You'll reach it after passing through the Hongsalmun. The name reflects Confucian philosophy and its emphasis on cosmic harmony and universal order. What to see here is a significant architectural element that marks the threshold between the outer and inner sanctum of this important historical compound.

Centenarian Ginkgo Trees of the Main Courtyard
The Jeonju Hyanggyo's centenarian ginkgo trees are magnificent specimens over 400 years old and rank among the site's finest natural features. Each autumn, their leaves turn a striking golden yellow, creating a beautiful contrast against the traditional tile roofs and stone walls of the complex. These ancient trees are well worth visiting during the fall season to witness their seasonal transformation.

Confucian Students' Dormitories
The student dormitories at Jeonju Hyanggyo housed scholars during their studies of Confucian classics. These wooden buildings, featuring the characteristic curved tile roofs distinctive of traditional Korean academies, form part of the larger architectural complex. What to see here includes the well-preserved structures that exemplify classical Korean academic design and the educational heritage of the region.
