Yeonhwajeong Library
Yeonhwajeong Library is a single-storey hanok-style library that opened in June 2022, positioned at the heart of Deokjin Park's lotus pond. The building's distinctive L-shaped design brings together two separate spaces—Yeonhwadang and Yeonhwaru—through seamless architectural flow. Large windows frame views across the lotus-covered pond and the park's mature trees, making it an ideal spot to visit for a tranquil reading experience amongst nature.

Yeonhwadang (Espacio de Lectura)
Yeonhwadang is the reading space within Yeonhwajeong Library, a hanok-style library that opened in June 2022 in the heart of Deokjin Park. The single-storey L-shaped building stands on the site of a former amusement park pond and flows seamlessly into the adjacent Yeonhwaru cultural space. Floor-to-ceiling windows on every wall frame direct views of the lotus pond, immersing visitors in nature whilst they read. What to see: the harmonious blend of traditional Korean architecture with natural surroundings.

Yeonhwalu (Cultural and Relaxation Zone)
Yeonhwalu is a cultural and leisure area within the Yeonhwajeong Library, a traditional hanok-style building that captures the essence of Jeonju. It occupies part of the complex developed from the restoration of the former Yeonhwajeong pavilion, sharing the space with Yeonhwadang, the main reading room. What to see here includes the architectural heritage and the peaceful atmosphere that reflects the city's cultural identity.

Yeonhwagyo Bridge
The Yeonhwagyo Bridge spans Deokjinho Lake, renowned for its water lilies, and links the traditional pavilions within the park. The bridge commands views reminiscent of classical East Asian paintings. Following recent renovation work, the bridge is now illuminated at night, making it a notable spot to visit the park after dark and experience its nocturnal appeal.

Water Iris Garden
The Water Iris Garden is a wetland dedicated to water irises, created within Deokjin Park as part of the renovations that led to its reopening in 1998. Designed to enhance the park's historical character, the garden holds special cultural significance during the traditional Dano festival, when the iris-filled waters of the pond take centre stage in local celebrations. What to see here reflects centuries of cultural heritage tied to this important seasonal observance.

General Jeon Bong-jun Statue
The statue of General Jeon Bong-jun stands within Deokjin Park, one of ten stone monuments scattered throughout the grounds. These sculptures transform the park into a significant repository of historical and literary memory, offering visitors a glimpse into Jeonju's cultural heritage. The monument is a focal point for understanding the region's past, making it worth a visit when exploring the park's extensive collection of commemorative works.
