Constantinople's grand ceremonial gateway, a three-arched triumphal arch of polished white marble blocks, flanked by two massive square towers, reserved for imperial processions.

Built in 1458 by Sultan Mehmed II, this near-pentagonal fortress of seven towers served as an imperial treasury and later a notorious state prison beside the Sea of Marmara.

A 12th-century defensive wall built by Emperor Manuel I Komnenos, stretching 220 metres from the Theodosian Walls — one of Constantinople's finest examples of military architecture.

Anemas Prison
Situated at the northern end of the Blachernae Walls where they meet the Golden Horn coastal plain, this prison formed a vital link between the final stretches of Constantinople's land defences.

Marble Tower (Mermer Kule)
Marking the southern end of Constantinople's land walls at the Sea of Marmara, this tower — also known as the Tower of Basil and Constantine — served as a bulwark, barracks and prison.

Wall of Leon (Blachernae)
Built by Leo V the Armenian in 813 to counter the Bulgarian threat, this outer wall of the Blachernae double enclosure was later extended southwards by his successor Michael II.
