Sepulchral Granite Block

At the bottom of the central pond on the islet lies a granite block measuring 3.6 metres long, 2.9 metres wide and 0.9 metres thick. Beneath it rest the cremated remains of King Munmu. This stone serves as the physical nucleus of the entire tomb and the focal point of its funerary significance. It's what to see when visiting this important 7th-century royal burial site in Gyeongju.
