La Basílica de Santa Maria Novella es una visita imperdible en Florencia. Su elegante fachada de mármol blanco y verde, diseñada por Leon Battista Alberti, es un gran ejemplo del Renacimiento florentino. El interior, de estilo gótico, es amplio y luminoso, con tres naves que invitan a recorrerlo con calma. Destacan obras fundamentales como la Trinidad de Masaccio, los frescos de Ghirlandaio y la riqueza pictórica de sus capillas. Además, se aprecia claramente el trabajo de restauración, que permite disfrutar el arte y la arquitectura en excelente estado de conservación.
Iglesia muy linda por fuera con un sol particular en la parte superior de la fachada que la hace especial. Por dentro es muy grande y tiene muchos afrescos. Se debe pagar una entrada. Por fuera ya es maravillosa
Estuvimos visitando el enorme complejo de Santa María Novella, el interior de la Basílica y los dos claustros con la magnífica Capilla de los Españoles
