Main Exhibition of Prehistoric Thera
Opened in 2000, this four-section exhibition covers the island's geology and research history, tracing settlement from the Late Neolithic through the Late Cycladic I period of Akrotiri's peak. Collections include pottery, marble figurines, jewellery, metalwork, seals, weights, plaster casts and Linear A inscriptions, arranged chronologically.

Exhibition 'Frescoes of Thera: The Treasure of the Prehistoric Aegean'
Opened in 2021, this exhibition presents 28 mural compositions from the buildings of Akrotiri — including celebrated works such as the 'Fishermen', the 'Priestess', the Miniature Frieze, the 'Naked Youths', the 'Saffron Gatherers' and the 'Nature Goddess'. The frescoes are displayed in their authentic arrangement, faithfully reproducing the original positions on the walls without any theatrical staging, exactly as the prehistoric painter conceived them.
