La parte del castillo esta cerrada (en arreglos), pero sí te dejan pasar (gratis) al patio. El patio en sí es muy bonito, pero por ahora, como no estaban cobrando dado el cierre del castillo, las piletas estan apagadas (lo que le hace perder encanto). Recomendaría que las enciendan igual! Con las puras fotos y videos que hacen los turistas (y que suben a redes sociales), se pagaría el tenerlas encendidas porque mas personas se interesarían en visitarlo cuando vuelva a abrir full.

A mi parecer es el segundo monumento a visitar en la ciudad de Córdoba, después de su Mezquita-Catedral, es todo un complejo arquitectónico, impresionante, y con una antigüedad bárbara pues en su historia se comenta de que ya en la transición entre la edad antigua y la edad media ya había resto de una edificación en este lugar para después ser un Alcázar de los llamados Omeyas y después ser una Alcazaba almohade para después ser una palacio tras la conquista castellana, ha sufrido varias renovaciones y restauraciones inclusive la ultima fue en pleno siglo xx, en el año de 1950, para su reapertura al publico en 1960, ha tenido muchas funciones, inclusive fue la sede de la Santa Inquisición, funcionó como cárcel en la segunda republica y en 1994 se declara Patrimonio Mundial junto con todo el conjunto del centro histórico de Córdoba. Su entrada es fácil, hay maquinas expedidoras y son fáciles de usar, el complejo incluye torres, salas, patios centrales, y un jardín fantástico además de unas termas. El Alcázar esta cerca de la Mezquita-cartedral y por lo tanto del puente mismo, los une la Ronda de Isasa o la calle Amador de los Rios, esta a unos cuantos metros.

El espectáculo que hubo en las III jornadas funerarias fue de las mejores cosas que he visto, ojalá hagan más duelos de gladiadores ahí con toda la arena que tienen. El jardín es precioso también
