La historia de la construcción de esta iglesia tiene mucho que contar por un conflicto, (ahí lo dejamos). La iglesia se empezó a construir en 1648 por los habitantes del pueblo para lo cual pondrían dinero, trabajo y unos cuantos años de sus vidas, ya que pasaría casi un siglo hasta oficiar aquí la primera misa. La iglesia es de planta cuadrangular y cabecera rectangular, con tres naves e imponente torre prismática, de cuatro alturas, rematada en el siglo XVIII con una balaustrada y acabada en un pináculo piramidal. En ella se venera al Cristo de Amparo, patrón de los pescadores, bajo cuya advocación salían los marineros comillanos y a quien se encomendaban en los momentos de mayor peligro.

Se impide la oración y el rezo. Salvo que sea previo pago. IMPRESENTABLE

El cura es un impresentable, no deja rezar a los feligreses que somos incluso del pueblo o llevamos viniendo 20 años al pueblo cada año, pidiendo donaciones involuntarias para entrar a la iglesia cuando pagamos nuestros impuestos para tener nuestra iglesia donde rezar.
