Se requiere concertar cita para visitar o aprovechar alguna jornada de puertas abiertas como ocurre en La noche de los museos, ya que está en el interior de la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería Industrial (ETSII) de la Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena y hay que cruzar por dependencias de las Escuela para llegar al museo.
