Esta estatua destaca y favorece la imagen del puerto pesquero de Cartagena ,en el barrio de Santa Lucía. Además la parroquia tiene su iglesia dedicada al Apostol Santiago ,solamente a 200 metros de aquí.
La ubicación no es correcta. La estatua del Santo esta en un espacio publico, mientras que aquí aparece en dentro de las instalaciones portuarias. La ubicación exacta es donde pone "Escultura Santiago Apóstol"
