Es el acceso al Arsenal Militar de Cartagena. La puerta es datada de hace varios siglos, restaurada (sólo pintura) cada año para su mantenimiento. Así mismo, es el acceso de San Pedro Apóstol en Semana Santa Imagen típica de Cartagena.
Muy recomendable en este sitio se vivieron momento de una trascendencia histórica, cuando se produce el alzamiento, el pueblo defensor de la República entró en el cuerpo de guardia y arrestaron a 290 oficiales de alta graduación de la Marina y fueron llevados al buque España que estaba en el puerto. Lo que ocurrió a continuación cambió el resultado final.
Precioso enclave militar en una bella ciudad.
