Gran Escalinata
The Grand Staircase in the main foyer rises in three flights. At the first landing, a pedimented door flanked by two caryatids and two niched statues creates a striking ceremonial welcome.

Auditorio
Seating around 1,100, the auditorium is decorated in blue, white and gold. Its largely timber structure gives it exceptional acoustics, making it one of Europe's oldest unburnt wooden auditoria.

Fresco de la cúpula de Jean-Baptiste-Claude Robin
Jean-Baptiste-Claude Robin's 18th-century tempera fresco covers the circular dome, honouring the arts and Bordeaux — allegorically portrayed with wine, maritime trade and the slave trade in the foreground.

Pórtico de columnas corintias
Twelve colossal Corinthian columns open onto the Place de la Comédie, supporting an entablature crowned by twelve stone statues. This peristyle gives the Grand Théâtre its unmistakable neoclassical character.

Estatuas de las Musas y Diosas
Twelve stone figures, each 2.3 m tall, line the entablature: the nine Muses of antiquity alongside Juno, Venus and Minerva, lending the building the air of a classical temple.
