Torres circulares
The two circular towers rise roughly 40 m on either side of the belfry block, and are all that remain of the original six towers. Their bases date from the 13th century, with the upper sections rebuilt in the 15th.

Antigua prisión / mazmorras
The cells inside the Grosse Cloche once held young offenders who broke the curfew or disturbed public order. Doors ten centimetres thick with heavy locks survive, and the walls still bear marks left by former occupants.

Reloj astronómico de 1759
Designed by mathematician and astronomer Paul Larroque and installed in 1759, this astronomical clock on the outer façade replaced an earlier one dating from 1567.

Campana Armande-Louise
Cast in 1775, Armande-Louise weighs around 7,800 kg and measures 2.10 m across. Known also as the 'bourdon', this great bell has marked the rhythms of Bordeaux's collective life for centuries.

Veleta del leopardo inglés
A gilded copper weathervane in the form of the English leopard — one of the heraldic symbols of the Kings of England — sits atop the central dome, one of the monument's most distinctive features.
