Cripta del campanario
For centuries an ossuary, the crypt beneath the Basilica of Saint-Michel's freestanding bell tower later displayed naturally mummified bodies. Open to the public for nearly two hundred years, it remains one of Bordeaux's most unusual stories.

Capilla Saint-Jacques
Built between 1470 and 1475, this chapel was dedicated to pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela, reflecting the basilica's significance as a stopping point on the pilgrimage route.

Vidrieras del coro (Max Ingrand)
Created by Max Ingrand to replace the 19th-century windows destroyed in the bombing of 21 June 1940, these stained-glass panels flood the chancel with deep blues, reds and oranges.

Púlpito del siglo XVIII
This 18th-century pulpit in the nave combines mahogany with marble panels and is crowned by a statue of Saint Michael, the patron of the church.
