El centro histórico es muy bonito para pasear tanto de día como de noche. Es de las zonas más bonitas de Takayama, mereció mucho la pena. Las tiendas cierran muy temprano, sobre las 17.00, por lo que hay que aprovechar para hacer compras antes
El centro histórico de Takayama es realmente bonito, con casas antiguas y muy cuidadas, y tiendas bonitas e integradas en la arquitectura. Es aconsejable visitarlo pronto por la mañana o a partir de las 5 de la tarde, cuando se van los buses turísticos y se convierte en un tranquilo pueblo.
